The winter

The biggest winter attraction of the area is the alpine skiing trails. The Folgarida, Marrileva, Madonna di Campiglio and Pinzolo ski resorts are the one large system of interconnected ski trails - a total of 150 km of blue, red and black trails (www.ski.it).

For the youngest, Family Parks have been organised by the main lifts - special sheltered places for learning to ski from scratch.

For those thirsty for excitement and adrenaline, it is worth recommending the Miramonti trail, where the World Cup in slalom is organised every year - its gradient is 66%. But there are also steeper trails - Pancugolo (75%) or Spinale Direttissima (70%).

There are many ski schools with instructors in the area.

From our house to the lower station of the Daolasa lift is 6 km - you can get there by free ski bus (the stop is 100 m from the house) or by car - there is a large parking lot at the station for €5 for the whole day.

But Val di Sole is not only about alpine skiing. There are also cross-country skiing trails and many walking places along the lovely Noce River.
